BFF

So there's this really great gal and she changed my life in more then one
way. OK I'm just taking the space here to explain that I'm not a freak, I'm talking about my best friend Lisa. (I know I don't usually use names, but I think Lisa deserves credit for being the person who inspired me to write this blog).

Well as I mentioned above Lisa is my best friend. And I can't imagine life with out her. We've been putting a slide-show together of junction (our youth group) over the past few years. This caused me to take a trip down memory lane.

Looking back at when I first started Junction Lisa and my self were in completely different leagues. She was cool and popular, and in the 'in' crowed, and I on the other hand was not! I was a loner/loser, geek who had no sense in style. But isn't it funny that some where along the line our paths joined and we became friends.

Anyway so over the years we went from strangers to acquaintances to friends to now BEST FRIENDS.

At the end of last year we both decided to do the Internship at Craigmore
Christian Church, this would prove to be a great test for our friendship.
And it has been so far.
  • We've had many 'mini' fights, the ones were words are said, apologies are made and then we go on.

  • We've also had the deep and meaningful chats, the ones that involve a large amount of chocolate and a box of tissues.
  • We've also withstood a boyfriend (hers not mine).

  • We've survived a road trip, and much, much, more.

  • We've dealt with our differences and also our uncanny similarities.
Lisa is my BFF!

We have lots in common:
One Tree Hill
Crunchy Chocolate
Love for movie quotes
and Pete Murray

We also have lots of differences:
Our taste in music (excluding Pete Murray)
Fashion sense
Our driving abilities (mines worse)

Lisa is a wonderful person and an even better friend. Shes kind, caring and compassionate, and always there in my time of need. Shes bright and bubbly, and fun loving. Shes the one who makes my day brighter even if I'm in the darkest grey ditch of the day. She shows empathy and love. And all these things are what makes being Lisa's friend so easy. I can reflect these ability to listen and empathise with her in her times of need. I can be her sun and make her day brighter because she so easy to love. And the best feeling of all is when were both refreshed and renewed just hanging with each other, laughing, singing (badly on my part i might add), mucking around and playing jokes.

...I think that's what friendship is, a two-sided connection with a person who just gets you for who you are. They have no need to want to change you, they love you and you can love them in all situations. You can understand their point of view even if you don't completely agree. And you can tell them anything with absolute honesty because you know and respect their opinion and input.

...Lisa that's how I feel about you!

I Luv ya my BFF! xx

...Did I mention Lisa is fun-loving and loves photos???
